Multiple-line chart
Several series as overlaid lines on one axis: trend comparison without stacking.
chart.quality@1New DDN source
Why use it?
Overlay is the honest way to compare trajectories that should not be added.
When it helps
KPIs per service, per cohort, per period.
How to read it
- Colour is the series; the legend is the contract.
- Lines cross freely — crossing is not interaction.
What you need
- The series list
- The shared axis
- The values
Things to check
- Do not overlay more lines than colours can distinguish.
- Do not give two series the same name on different scales.
Scope of this diagram
Declared records; bounded native marks.
